A little about me…
While completing my degree in Event Management at Chico State (GO WILDCATS!) I worked in event rentals and design where I learned the importance of a company’s core structure and organization. This is also where my love for assisting clients in putting together different textures, shapes, colors, and elements to make their vision come to life grew. The only problem was that I was limited in how I could be involved in exciting momentous life events. I quickly realized that I wanted to shift my career in the direction of wedding planning to have the opportunity to be hands-on and part of the action. I love that I am now able to see an event blossom from an idea to reality and look forward to the fun new ideas that our clients bring to us. I am fortunate to work in such an amazing work environment that cultivates creativity, individuality, personal/professional growth, and most importantly, puts us first as human beings. I often have “pinch me” moments when I take a step back and recognize that I have my dream job.
Most of the work comes before the big day and is dependent on the behind-the-scenes preparation for a smooth day. I enjoy putting together details with our clients and conveying them through production packets, layouts, and timelines.
I get inspiration from anywhere and anything! Inspiration, for me, strikes when I least expect it. When I get inspired I stop what I’m doing and get to work on making that vision come to life.
I love the moment at the end of a wedding when the groom (who traditionally tend to be less involved in the process) acknowledges that they didn't realize how much of a great investment having a wedding planner would be for them. It’s rewarding to see clients truly be able to enjoy the day as stress free as possible and for them to see the value in our work.
I grew up artistically and creatively inclined. In my spare time, you could find me in the middle of a DIY or up-cycling things around my house to give them a new purpose. I was constantly rearranging and decorating any room my parents let me. In middle and high school, I attended a performing and fine arts academy that allowed me to pursue my creative side full-time. I spend my days listening to crime podcasts, working on projects around my home, hanging out with my cats, and coordinating weddings on weekends. I love interior design, painting, dancing, and baking. Things like refinishing kitchen cabinets, planning trips, and flipping spaces are my kind of thing! It’s no surprise that event design is my favorite aspect of weddings.
